정재헌 SKT 사장 “영남권에 2GW 이상 AI 데이터센터 구축”

이번 계획은 전국에 AI 데이터센터를 구축해 총 15GW 규모의 인프라를 조성한다는 SK의 '대한민국 대도약 3대 메가 프로젝트(총투자 규모 1000조원)'의 일환이다.

SK는 영남권 메가 프로젝트 첫 단계로 울산을 제1호 사업지로 선정했다. 현재 아마존웹서비스(AWS)와 협력해 내년 4분기 가동을 목표로 100메가와트(㎿) 규모의 하이퍼스케일 AIDC 구축을 하고 있다.

이어 “SK는 울산을 제1호 사업지로 선정하고 이미 100메가와트(MW) 규모의 데이터센터를 진행하고 있으며, 추가로 900메가와트 규모를 준비 중”이라며 “단계적으로 영남권 전체에 2기가와트 이상의 AI 데이터센터를 완성할 계획이다. 여기엔 약 140조원의 투자가 이뤄질 예정”이라고 덧붙였다．

SK 영남권 AIDC는 외자를 포함해 약 140조원이 투입된다. 추가 사업 후보지는 관계 부처와 검토 중이다.

정 사장은 “기존 데이터센터가 정보를 저장하는 창고였다면 새로운 AIDC는 인공지능에서 '토큰 지능'을 만들어내는 공장”이라며 “대규모 AIDC를 기반으로 영남의 제조 산업 역량이 AI와 결합하면 생산성 혁신을 이룰 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.

26일 관련업계에 따르면 유한킴벌리는 기존 ‘중저가 생리대’의 오프라인 판매를 확대하고 새로운 중저가 제품을 출시한다고 밝혔다.

유한킴벌리는 현재 ‘좋은느낌 순수’와 ‘좋은느낌 코텍스 오버나이트’를 통해 중저가 생리대 3종을 시장에 공급하고 있다. 이 중 좋은느낌 순수의 경우 프리미엄 대표 제품과 비교해 공급가가 반값 수준이다.

유한킴벌리는 지난 2016년 일부 취약계층 여성들이 생리대 구매에 어려움을 겪고 있다는 소식을 접한 뒤 중저가 생리대를 공급해왔으며, 11년째 가격을 동결했다. 회사측은 앞으로 중저가 생리대의 오프라인 유통·판매 확대에 주력하기로 했다.

이를 위해 좋은느낌 코텍스 오버나이트는 다이소와 대리점 채널을 통한 공급을 지속하고, 좋은느낌 순수는 기존 쿠팡 중심에서 최근 지마켓과 네이버 스토어, 자사몰 맘큐로도 공급을 늘렸다.

또한 올해 2분기 중엔 ‘좋은느낌’ 브랜드에서 새로운 중저가 제품도 출시한다. ‘수퍼롱 오버나이트’ 형태로 개발되는 이번 신제품이 나오면 유한킴벌리는 중저가 제품을 모두 4종 보유하게 된다.
